Why supporting each other is the new black.
There is wonderful freedom and grace in realizing that success and greatness is not capped – in fact reality is, the cake (always thinking of food, ha!) is a limitless “all you can eat” buffet.
Knowing we have been designed to live for something greater than ourselves. That our contribution to this world HAS TO be measured by something more meaningful than the size of our house, our postal code, our bank balance or the amount of designer handbags we own. Our lives are going to find lasting significance in how we choose to live them… and just as importantly, how we enable others to live theirs.
This year is the year of “like, realising stuff…” and knowing wholeheartedly that another persons success does not mean less opportunity for you or me. In fact, success is contagious if you only took the time to enable, encourage, and promote others along the way!
So here are our reasons on why WE ALL need to be supportive of eachother.
1. When you do good, it feels good.
Those feel good vibes when you help someone else achieve what they set out to do, we are here for it! There is great satisfaction in helping others. A large motivation for us to continue Serendipity Ave is the fact that we get to build a community of girls who share ideas, support one another and really build each other up. We have a strong “Just don’t be an ASSHOLE” rule.
2. What goes around comes around
Ever heard that like attracts like babe? You attract what you put out into the universe and if you are putting out bad vibes, expect them to come straight back and hit you in the face.
3. It’s the way of the future.
Um, why would you not want to be apart of the girl gang! Supporting your local girl gang means connecting with women in your niche. Do not be afraid to collaborate with other small business owners in your area. By supporting fellow ladies in business you are supporting a dream – and if that’s not rather magical than dunno what is.
“Women reinvest 80 percent of their income into the well-being of their children, meaning any investment often has ripple effects for future generations.” via the Good Trade.
By supporting fellow women you help to shape the future
4. You never know when you might just make someones day.
With the way we live our lives on social media, it can be very hard to tell how someone is truly feeling IRL. Everyone has their own goals whether it be career related or personal, which they might not know how to start and you actually do. Share your knowledge, it’s one of the greatest, most powerful things you own.
On that note: Be the change you wish to see in your community, your neighborhood and online.
