What To Watch On Netflix – July 18

Nami and I are both too lazy to set up regular TV, so we result in watching Netflix as our 6 pm news.

This is our pick of what we have been binge’in at the moment. And hey, our taste may not be yours either but that’s not our fault.

Good Girls

Both of our current favourites. It was a filler for me (Pascale) as I had just binged … and then didn’t know what to do with my Netflix life but then next minute I am 5 eps deep and invested. A series about 3 suburban ladies who get into crime and find themselves deeply involved with a dangerous gang. Both funny and a little dark.

Black Mirror

Have you ever wondered what would happen in today’s society if technology went bad? Don’t worry Black Mirror has thought about it. It’s a sci-fi series and every episode is a different story. Personally, it’s a little scary as you can imagine these issues actually happening TODAY but at the same time very addictive. Also love that it is British and that in itself is cool.

The Crown

This lavish, Netflix-original drama chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s to modern times. The series begins with an inside look at the early reign of the queen, I (Nami) like to think of this series as learning about history whilst getting some good Netflix and chill time in! IDK what to do with my life until season 3 tbh.

This is for all crime and puzzle-filled twist series lovers! It’s set in a small German town and its sinful past is exposed along with the double lives and fractured relationships that exist among four families as they search for the kids. It’s hard to watch but harder to stop watching!

Brooklyn Nine Nine

I am (Pascale) a little bit late to the party I know, I know. But this show is so golden! How did I miss the hype of it. For those of you who don’t know it is a sitcom about Jake Paralta who works for the NYPD, his colleagues and their work lives. I binged this entire show in 1 week – yes all 5 seasons – and all I can say is thank god they renewed season 6.

Chefs Table

A series of episodes following Chef’s and their stories. Produced in a way that will make you literally drool the whole episode, it is so enlightening. Even if all you do is watch the Christina Tosi episode. Your life will be complete.
