One of our favourite creative humans in the industry must be Holly, even though she is working in such a fast pace and at times very shallow industry she manages to keep her cool and a sense of humour about her! Whenever we catch up with her it’s always so easy, and we feel like we have known each other for years!
We have to admit we stalked the shit out of her and we have been fan-girling over her for the last two years now but dreams really did come true when we started making bomb as content together. Her street style photos are so on point and she really helped us up our game as bloggers! #forevergrateful
We caught up with Holly to chat inspiration, guilty pleasures and designer handbags.
How old are you?
How old do you feel?
23!… I feel like Im exactly where I should be.
In a nutshell, what does a day in the life of Holly look like?
I like to start my days with exercise, either running or gyming. Then coffee of course! I like to have morning coffees with my creative sisters so that I can start my day in a positive and creative head space. Then I’ll head to a shoot, either in a studio or out on the streets. Afternoons are for image selections and editing.
How would your friends describe you to someone who doesn’t know you?
They would probably say I’m loud and “FASHUN”.
What is your next splurge purchase and why?
I’m in two minds at the moment. I either want to invest in my first designer hand bag OR buy a new camera lens. So I’ll either be boosting my wardrobe or boosting my photography game. The latter is looking more promising!
Who/what influences you? (this can be a photographer that inspires you, or a stylist, your mum etc)
All the women in my life (mum, grandma and sister in particular) influence me everyday to be the best version of myself. They are my biggest influence. In terms of photography, Juergen Teller gives me so much life.
What is one of your guilty pleasures?
Butter chicken, always.
What advice would you give to your 15 year old self?
Keep doing you! It will all start to make sense in your 20s *wink emoji*
If you weren’t doing photography, what else would you be doing?
I would be making clothes if I wasn’t photographing them.
What are your 3 tips to taking a great photo?
– Get low
– Shoot lots and shoot fast
– Don’t think, feel.
She sure is “on that hustle” buzz and this girl is going places so what’s next for Holly? #watchthisspace
