My mum is so amazing that after my first car died, shehelped me to buy me a car! She also gave me for my twenty first the most beautiful anitque sapphire diamond ring. It was her’s, and she wanted me to have it! But aside from the amazing gifts mum has always been my number one supporter! Deciding to go to art school, she was there for me. Moving to Auckland by myself and coming home every weekend to home in Tauranga, to her, because I just couldn’t cope with Auckland, she was there for me. Doing my masters, she said go for it! She is my best friend. My rock. My inspiration.

When I was 13, I had a one and a half week hospital stay. I wasn’t a huge fan of hospital food and missed my mums cooking! So aside from coming to visit me everyday and organising a surprise visit from all of my closest friends, she would bring me all these home cooked meals so I wasn’t missing out! Mum’s are incredible and I’m so thankful for mine!

My mum always puts me and my brother before herself. She is the most selfless person ever and I would love to win this for her. She deserves it.

She lets me be me. Plus she’s an inspiration as to how fit, full and fashionable life can be as we get older… others tell you, you should be grow more mature as you grow up and Mum tells me to be more responsible but keep being awesomely you.

My Mumma bear is my best friend, there’s no other way to describe it. She’s looked after me since day dot, been by my side ever since I had to leave school when I was 14 due to health problems. She’s my rock, the one with all the answers, the one i ugly cry on about boys and laugh for hours on end over Real Housewives. And sure I still argue with her on the daily but it never lasts very long, I don’t know where I would be without her endless love and support x

My mum is kickass because she has always been there for me and my sister. Raising us on her own, managing a full time job and always having food on the table. I will be forever grateful for her, she is my angel!

My Mum is amazing! I became a first time Mum in September and my Mum took a week off work to come and look after us. She helped pay for my wedding and she even gave us the last $1000 we needed to purchased our first home!
She is an incredible woman and an inspiration.

My mum is the most selfless person I know. In general she others before herself and I remember when I was getting bullied at school my mum was my hero. She stepped in and squashed all the drama with my bullies. She just kicks ass in life all the time.

My amazing mum has given up everything to make my family’s life better. There are five of us but mum always has more than enough love for each of us, and also for all our friends and even strangers who need her help and aroha. Her kitchen is always churning out meals, treats and cakes for people in need or having birthdays or just hungry. Any minute she has in a day is spent trying to make lives better. She is so giving and deserving of this prize. My mum has worked so hard over the last six months to get fit and healthy, walking 6 km a day and changing diet etc so that she can donate me her kidney!! This will be life changing for me.

I love the thought of this being how our mothers are kick ass, because it’s a quality that it is often over looked. When I look at all my mother has sacrificed – how often she has to fight against not only her fears by my own? It’s incredible to be wrapped in that strength and that warmth. So, quickly! Some ways in which my mother has been kickass:

    1. Teaching me the following kickass things: that compassion is strength. That strength allows you to fight for those who can’t. That sometimes – when that fight seems too big or the enemy too bold – that courage is something you have to fake right up until that moment where it somehow becomes real. That while there are a lot of asses you will have to kick in this world, sometimes the ass that needs kicking is your own – and that’s ok.
    2. Being so kickass that she holds the light for me when I can’t grasp onto it myself.
    3. There are so many individual moments where she has just gone above and beyond, but I thought I’d stick with the most recent: this year, I’ve needed to lose a significant amount of weight. I’ve really struggled, and so my 64 year old, ridiculously kickass mum has gotten on board and dragged me into an exercise routine I never thought I’d be able to complete. Now, we walk together, run together, bike together. As a result, I’ve lost 22kg in 4 months, and I just could not have done this without her. She broke through her barriers so that she could help me with mine, and I will never forget this.
    4. The most important lesson of all imparted by my mum: that there is NOTHING you can’t tackle in the perfect pair of kickass boots.

    Thank you for everything, mum!

My mum rocks because she believes in me and give s the best advise , even though it can be annoying at times that she always knows best haha I know she always has my best interest at heart! Sarah

My mum is kickass because she is my role model and hero. She helped me through my masters degree making us snacks and making sure I always made it to every lecture every when I wanted to throw in my degree and give up. She is the most positive and caring women I know. She deserves the world.

I love my mum because she accpets me for who I am! I had my first boy when I was just 17 years old. I was so scared to tell my mum about accidentally falling pregnant at such a young age! She never judged me for a second and she is the best nana any child could wish for! She tuly deserves this! Nikkita

I’m lucky to have my nana in my life as my mum 🙂 she’s raised me from age 5 and has made me the strong independent woman I am today ! Sometimes we clash but it’s only because she cares and knows what’s best for me ! I love her to peices and am so grateful to call her mum ????

My mum has not only done so many things for me that I am hugely greatful for she has also done many for others. My mum has fostered children in need for over 30 years and has always had her heart and door open for little people. She actually currently has a 1 and 4 week old baby that may be with her this coming mothers day. She’s been a step in mum to wow over 200 or more children now and I truly admire how selfless and amazing she is. She puts Every one else first and I would love to surprise her with this is she was chosen.
She fostered me as a baby 35 years ago and adopted me and raised me as her own. I am truly blessed xo

My Mum is a force to be reckoned with…
But has a pure ‘Heart of Gold’ within…
    A true, modest, loyal & beautiful creator…
Who radiates positivity flashing her Grin!
She has shown me LOVE’s unconditional,
And taught me how to not be superficial!!!
Given me wings 2 fly & touch the SKY!
MUM I want to thank you for being YOU!
You moulded me into the Woman I am today…
You are my Best Friend in every single way…
So today MUM just know I LOVE YOU 😉 xo

Mum did the hardest thing any mum can do and that is give her children to family when she wasn’t well and because of her I became the strong loving mum I am in our big blended family

My mum took us all away on a cruise for my 21st birthday to the islands paying for two of my other friends. I feel so close to my mum she is so selfless and my best friend. She deserves this perfume.
